Pete Wallace has organised a 100th Entry shirt badge. It comprises a casual shirt, in a range of colours and sizes, plus the badge and looks really smart. Have a look at Pete with Ken Weston and Baz Hayman modelling the shirts at a recent press launch....

I cannot believe socks being sold at nearly 13 pounds a pair!
I can by 3 pairs of trousers for that in a department store and still have change left over!

Wrong country Ian. Sarong is a Malay word and although the Philippine languages are Malay-Polynesian in origin, it does not appear in the Philippine vocabulary.
Sarongs are worn a bit further south in Indonesia and Malayan Peninsular and also in HAwaii and certain other parts of Polynesia and Micronesia.
The only place sarongs are found here is on the beach being worn by ladies and are a modern style copied from Hawaii.
Before the Spanish arrived in 1521, dress was optional although many tribesmen wore loincloths made on looms and the style indicated which tribe they belonged to.
The Spanish Catholics disapproved of nudity and scanty forms of dress and trousers were introduced for all men although the loincloth remains up to the present for some of the indigenous people in remote areas.
Even before the Spanish arrived, there was a written form of language called Alibata which the invaders sought to suppress. They also had their own martial arts systems (Kali, Arnis and Eskrima) which was used to good effect against the Spanish who always viewed their own culture, customs and traditions to be superior to all others and imposed it everywhere they went.
I wouldn't mind wearing a sarong round the house because they are cool and keep mosquitoes off sensitive areas but you never see them sold here!
Sarongs are great, I bought one when I was in Fiji a couple of months ago, I wore it over there in the bar and round the pool, but I don't have the bottle amongst all these butch Aussies to wear it outdoors in ozz
ps the Fijians call them Lusus _________________ All the best
