Monty had major surgery a few weeks ago to relieve blocked arteries and, although he has been out of hospital for a while, he is on a strict diet and exercise regime in preparation for seeing the surgeon again (about now).

He may need a couple more operations yet, so I'm sure you will join me in wishing him a speedy recovery and best of luck for the future.

I heard from Monty today and, unfortunately, he is still having a bad time. Apparently his last visit to the surgeon did not go too well because, after various tests they discovered the early stages of OsteoArthritis in his hips and pelvis. They are trying to cure this with the aid of drugs and his next visit is not until the end of November. The drugs have some unpleasant side effects, mainly involving toilets. He just has to be patient and let everything run its course, but he is very positive about being better by next year and is even talking about going back to work.

He has asked me to pass on this message....

"I'd very much appreciate if you could thank once again all the guys on the site, and from Servicepals too, for all the kind words of encouragement and good wishes, as they really are appreciated very sincerely."

Monty has been in the wars again and is pretty poorly, to say the least.

He left Hospital this afternoon , after originally going in for another Angiogram , but things took a turn for the worst. Everything went fine with the Angiogram and the Cardiologist decided to fit a further Stent in one of his Heart Arteries. However, the next morning he could not move his left arm at all and had lost all feeling in it . He was wheeled very hurriedly back into the theatre , and woke up the following day in a different ICU , minus left toe (next to the big toe ), which had developed excruciating pain from internal bone infection , and a massive load a stitches in his left arm! Evidently the source of the problem was a blood clot in the artery after the fitment of the stent !

So now he is back in the wheelchair and using the Zimmer around the house again , but the pain is still excruciating in his left foot , despite all the millions of pain killers he has been given! He is glad to be home again and Maria, his maid, is nursing him at home for the rest of the week before Christmas, so he is in safe capable hands!

He has asked me to make sure you all see this......

"Please pass on all my regards and best wishes to everybody for the Christmas Season, and I will be thinking of you all !"
Cheers ,
MONTY

I am sure you will all join me in wishing him a swift recovery, as we miss his banter on the Forum.

Monty has asked me to publish this latest up-date on his health. He sends his Very Best Wishes for 2007 to everyone...............

"My current medical situation remains much as before Christmas , not exactly much improvement , but I get about the house OK on the Zimmer and in my Wheelchair . I am capable now of looking after myself alright , and am now just awaiting having all the stitches removed from my left foot and my left arm . I am told that this will bring great relief and ease the pain in trying to walk properly once again ! "

Monty has contacted me and says "My health has gone a little downhill to say the least at present" but he is confident that things will soon take a turn for the better and "I shall be back to my usual cheery self again!".

"Keep taking the Pills and REST, so the Cardiologist , Surgeon and Doctors say , but all this Viagra doesn't seem to be doing me much good so far, except I have to hobble around now with a wheelbarrow, rather than a zimmer!"

"Please pass on my best regards to all on all the various web sites, and thank everyone so very much indeed for all their concern in my well-being."

Dai, can you put something on ServicePals please?
