The year is 1952, the radio school is RAF Cranwell and the Entry is the 63rd (the last before moving to Locking), but there are some interesting similarities in these videos made from the original 8mm cine film. Check them out (there is over 25 mins of footage which you can watch on line or download)....

Part 1 - Apprentice Life at Cranwell

Part 2 - The Cranwell Apprentices attend a Battle of Britain Parade in Sleaford, Lincolnshire.

Part 3 - After three years of apprentice training, the 62nd Entry hold a Passing Out Parade watched by friends and relations.

Part 4 - The 63rd Entry were the last Apprentice Entry to complete training and Pass Out at Cranwell.

Part 5 - The last AOC's Inspection of Cranwell Apprentices before the School moves to RAF Locking.

Surely WE must have some cine film stashed away somewhwere?

MMm, loads of memories there, although I don't recall ever intentionally sleeping on a mattress on the floor Very Happy
